Why Does Jerry Jones Really Want NFL Oakland Raiders In Las Vegas? The mainstream media has said Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones wants the Oakland Raiders in Las Vegas. He has also told me personally that Sheldon Adelson, Las Vegas Sands CEO, would make a great NFL Owner, or words to that effect. Jones has said that entertainment outweighs gambling concerns in Las Vegas. Oh, really? So I wondered what was really driving Jerry's advocacy, and I stumbled on a clue. He has partied in Las Vegas and was even seen at The Venetian Night Club LAVO with a lovely blonde woman in 2010. TMZ and a number of publications reported that he went back to a suite with her and another woman. The Venetian is owned by Las Vegas Sands - thus the indirect Sheldon Adelson connection. If that is the only reason for Jones' advocacy of Las Vegas, then Oakland is the better choice for the Raiders. Stay tuned.
