YouTube - Google Counting Of Video Views Seems To Exclude Impressions It seems to me that Google YouTube has systemically excluded counting impressions in total view counts. That is unfair. YouTube once had real time views which were much greater than views. I always thought that was fishy. Now the new YouTube studio app does not show them. An Impression happens when you see a video page. If an ad is on that page, and you see the ad, the advertiser gains from that. The problem is that YouTube does not tell us what that impression estimate is. If Google is counting that and charging the advertiser and yet not paying YouTube Creators their fair share, that is basically stealing from YT Creators. This must be resolved.
