Paul Walker Dies In Car Accident; Fast And Furious Actor

Paul Walker
Paul Walker, the Fast And Furious actor, died very shockingly and unexpectedly in a car accident that happened as he was leaving a fund-raiser for his charity Reach Out Worldwide. He was just 40 years old.

Walker was in 42 movies where he played a character, and another 53 times he played himself. Walker's first big movie was the 1999 Varsity Blues. But it was in Fast And Furious that his name became a household word.

Walker is survived by his significant other Rebecca and a daughter.

Walker left us too early. His work on earth helped people, so it's quite possible he was called to do something special in Heaven.

Stay tuned.

Tricia Helfer Stars In “Killer Women” January 7th 2014 On ABC

Tricia Helfer’s known for two things: her killer legs and her role as ‘Number Six,’ the humanoid cylon on the rebooted Battlestar Galactica from 2004 to 2009. But now the star who’s played in TV shows like Community and with her roles in Tron: Uprising and in Battlestar Galactica has become something of a Comic Con favorite, is getting her own show: Killer Women on ABC starting Tuesday, January 7th, 2014 at 10 PM EST / PST.

Killer Women stars Tricia as Molly Parker, described by ABC as a “ballsy (?) and badass” Texas Ranger, one of the few women in the male-dominated ranks. Killer Women is executive produced by two killer women in Hollywood Sofia Vergara (Modern Family) and series creator Hannah Shakespeare (The Raven). ABC describes the series this way:

Molly is committed to finding the truth and seeing justice served. In a male-dominated world, she is aided by her sixth sense for why women kill: rarely out of hatred, usually for what they love. Standing squarely behind her is her boss, Company Commander Luis Zea. Molly also has the support of her loving family, including her brother Billy and his wife Becca. On the verge of getting divorced from her narcissistic husband, Jake, Molly relishes her new-found freedom as she begins an affair with a sexy, dangerously handsome DEA agent, Dan Winston More at Zennie62.com"Tricia Helfer On Sofia Vegara’s “Killer Women” January 7th 2014 On ABC

California Governor Jerry Brown took time to answer questions about the LAX Shooting after the groundbreaking for the Oakland Global facility on Friday. Sonoma, California's Artesa Winery Makes Its Case In Environmental Battle

Artesa Winery
Artesa Winery, which has perhaps the most breath-taking winery in California, has come out fighting in a Sonoma Coast California property battle against Friends of the Gualala River.

Artesa Winery is fighting to improve and protect a neglected Sonoma, California property in the face of strident opposition from a controversial local group, Friends of the Gualala River. Sonoma County is a place known both for its excellent wine and its natural beauty.

But, the conversation has turned ugly over the effort by one well-regarded winery to renovate part of an abandoned Sonoma property into a vineyard and preserve and protect remainder of it. Artesa Vineyard and Winery has owned the 324 acre property since 1999 when it purchased the lot with the intention to use it to grow Pinot Noir.

The property has fallen into disrepair since it was used as an apple orchard in the early 1960’s. In 2009 Artesa submitted a proposal to convert 173 acres of this former orchard into vineyard and preserve the remaining 151 acres of Artesa’s proposal was approved by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFire) in 2012 after what official Dennis Hall called, “an extreme and exhaustive analysis of potential impacts” on the surrounding environment.

However, Artesa’s vineyard conversion was halted shortly after approval due to a local activists filing a lawsuit, even though the winery met The Friends of the Gualala River, a local activist groups, claims that Artesa’s vineyard conversion is “deforestation” and that if it is allowed to proceed it will “open the door to clear-cut coastal California forests.”

In a world concerned with global warming and in a state particularly focused on environmental concerns, the coalition has found their message resonating with some. However, others point out that the Friends of the Gualala River are misrepresenting the facts and are completely divorced from reality.

For example, the trees on the Sonoma coast property were removed by a previous owner some 40 to 60 years ago, long before the property was owned by Artesa. Only two old growth Redwood trees remain on the Artesa property, and Artesa’s plans preserve them as part of the new vineyard. Additionally, some Artesa supporters have made the point that the lot is already zoned for agricultural use.

Should Artesa withdrawal its proposal, the entire lot could be developed for other purposes, including the 151 acres the winery has committed to setting aside Concerns over a seasonal creek and other small, unnamed tributaries on the property are cited as a problem by the Friends of the Gualala, who contend that use of pesticides and groundwater for grape-production will adversely affect the area’s watershed.

However, Artesa’s Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) specifies that the vineyard will utilize a rainwater irrigation system and that the only well dug will be for use by workers and equipment cleanup. Artesa President Keith LaVine has also pointed out in recent interviews that pesticides were not used at all during the 2013 growing season in Artesa’s other vineyards, and would only be used in “rare, isolated cases.”

In case they must be used, the Artesa EIR lays out 30- to 100- foot buffer zones to protect water resources from any “vineyard disturbance.” The Artesa EIR plan goes beyond preventative concerns to specify improvements to the habitat on the property, including an expanded 3 acres of wetlands and three designated botanical preserves to protect the unique Annapolis Manzanita population which is found in the area.

Any Native American archeological sites uncovered in the conversion process are to be preserved as Surrounded by lots that have already successfully converted to vineyards, zoned for agricultural use, lacking old growth forest, and otherwise in disrepair for the last 50 years, it is hard to understand why this particular patch of Sonoma has been chosen as a battleground.

As the Sonoma County Superior Court deliberates for the next 30 days, the people at Artesa have no choice but to continue to prepare to start improving, and protecting, their slice of the beautiful Sonoma Coast.

Let’s hope reason prevails and that the objections to Artesa preserving his property are successful. The winery and their parent company have done more to enhance and preserve the property than the Friends of the Gualala River ever have.

Lane Kiffin: USC Head Coach Fired By AD Pat Haden

According to Zennie62.com, Lane Kiffin was released from his football job after a horrible USC Trojans loss to Arizona State 62 to 41 Saturday night. Thus ends the Lane Kiffin USC era, and makes those who asked for his head happy.

In all Coach Kiffin posted an 8–5 record his first year at USC, 2010, then 10–2 in 2011, 7–6 in 2012, and finally 3–2 in 2013 before he was released last night. Overall, under Lane Kiffin, USC lost 7 of its last 11 games.

The issue that led to his eventual termination is that in 2012, USC was a ranked a preseason #1 favorite, and went on to become the only USC squad to finish a season unranked after being selected to finish at the top as national champions. Britney Spears Work Bitch Has Miley Cyrus Sound

Britney Spears has a new song that was released via a leak online, and it’s the lead in an the album by the same name: Work Bitch.

Work Bitch.  The song very much reminds me of something Miley Cyrus would have done before she ‘turned black,’ which I happen to think is a good thing.

Work Bitch sounds like something from Miley Cyrus circa 2011, and from her “growing up period” as it was called. More at Zennie62.com: Britney Spears Work Bitch Channels Miley Cyrus - http://www.zennie62blog.com/2013/09/18/britney-spears-work-bitch-channels-miley-cyrus-82739/

Aubrey Plaza's Must Add "Do A Black Guy" To "The To Do List"

Aubrey Plaza's the star of the new movie everyone' talking about, called The To Do List. It's about a young woman who's out of high school and has embarked on an objective of having sex for the first time, and in different ways, before she goes off to college.

The only thing unrealistic about The To Do List is that the list doesn't have "Do A Black Guy" on it. As one who's been the first black guy for most of the white women he's been with (and I know this because I was told that), a good movie should include that.

I'm happy to say that I've positively contributed to the destruction of one major stereotype against black men, and regarding "going down."

That's all I'll say.

Stay tuned.

“President Obama & Secret Service” At Comic Con 2013

President Obama at Comic Con?

Well, yes, sort of, according to Zennie62.com.

President Barack Obama and his Secret Service detail were at Comic Con 2013, and in the form of Reggie Brown and five security guards.

You see, Reggie Brown is the World’s best Obama impersonator, and was at Comic Con 2013 to help promote a new app called “BattlePillars.”

BattlePillars is described as a “free-to-play backyard adventure enables users to construct an army of battlepillars by choosing various weapons and armor to overcome the enemy.” True to form, President Obama used drones as an example during our conversation in the makeshift press room at Room 27 A, B at San Diego Convention Center. “There’s a lot of controversy selling drones. So HitSence.com developed a game that puts BattlePillars on the ground.”

But the real star of the show wasn’t BattlePillars, but President Obama. With “President Obama & Secret Service” At Comic Con: BattlePillars - http://www.zennie62blog.com/2013/07/23/with-president-obama-secret-service-at-comic-con-battlepillars-38387/

Is Amanda Bynes Just Trolling Us?

Is Amanda Bynes Just Trolling Us? Nikky Raney of Zennie62Media thinks she is. "She's a very good actress," Ms. Raney says.

But with such comments about "ugly Asians," and other racist and homophobic Twitter tweets, one has to wonder if it's not trolling, and that something really is wrong with her head.

Well, the debate has started. What do you think?

Miley Cyrus Liam Hemsworth Engagement Back On?

Is Miley Cyrus' engagement to be married to Liam Hemsworth back on? Nikky Raney, Zennie62Media Executive Editor, says it is! But one thing's for sure: Miley Cyrus is certainly in the celebrity news a lot. She was on Jimmy Kimmel as a cameo, and then before that took a kind of San Francisco social media tour for her new single "We Can’t Stop," that caused it to race to number one on iTunes sales in one day!

Hawthorne, California: Police Officer Shoots Dog In Front Of Owner

According to Zennie62.com, A police officer shot Leon Rosby’s Rottweiler, Max, four times at point-blank range, after provoking the dog as if to get the animal to respond so that it could be fired upon.

It was last Sunday, June 30th, and Leon Rosby was video-blogging the actions of Hawthorne, California police officers, when they seemed to take offense to his making a visual record of their work.

Leon Rosby appeared to have some verbal exchange with them while using his cell phone as a camera, then when he saw the police officers coming, put his dog in his car, only (because it was hot), the windows were rolled down.

Rosby went to the cops and willingly gave himself up to be arrested. But the antagonistic actions of the police toward his owner, was all the Rottweiler needed to jump out of the car, and head toward the group of officers to rescue Mr. Rosby.

One officer, for some reason (and this is on video) put his hand out toward the already angry dog, causing the dog to react with anger. Then, after an exchange of barks and voices, the dog backed off – presumably Mr. Rosby said the right words. But all that was negated when the obviously-three-bricks-shy-of-a-load peace officer went to push his hand at the dog again.

Yes, again.

The Rottweiler reacted with predictable anger, and lunged up toward the officer, who responded with a direct, point-blank, gun shot. But he didn’t stop there – the officer became trigger happy and fired four more shots as it was obvious the poor dog was already disabled by the first gun shot.

It was very terrible. Awful. God-awful, ugly. More detail at Zennie62:

Godzilla is still being filmed in Surrey, BC, and while that outdoor work is going on, there’s a photo from an indoor set that’s getting a lot of buzz, and another that was virtually ignored by the media, but gives the biggest clue yet to what is going to happen when the movie’s released on May 16th 2014.

Mayor Jim Ruane of San Bruno called for an immediate investigation by the Attorney General of the State of California and the State Legislature into the resignation of four lead CPUC safety division attorneys. Miley Cyrus “We Cant Stop” SF Tour Is A Social Media Revolution

According to Zennie62.com, The Miley Cyrus “We Cant Stop” SF Social Media Tour caused the singing and acting and social media icon to do with the Social Media Industry, what celebs have done with the TV industry in decades past.

Then, a celeb would fly to New York City or LA to do the “talk show circuit, and promote their movie or tv show or music. Well, Miley Cyrus did just that on Monday, except that she flew up to San Francisco using the trendy, social media savvy, Blackjet private set service, and visited the following social media companies: ZuckMedia for Spreecast, then Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

The “ZuckMedia for Spreecast” has to be explained, as Miley went to the office of Randi Zuckerberg’s media company ZuckMedia to use Spreecast to make an online telecast. Only problem was that Spreecast crashed under the weight of the demands of Ms. Cyrus’ fans. Second stop was to Facebook, where upon arrival she was mobbed by fans as she was in her SUV. In Interview, Carolyn Moos Defends Jason Collins With Mixed Emotions

Watch my 18-minute interview with Carolyn Moos, and it's not hard to come away with the feeling observed by some that she was used by her now-ex fiance Jason Collins as a cover for his homosexuality.

Here's the interview:

This is not to attack Jason for coming out, but to point out that there's a flip side to a "courageous" personal decision. In this case, the wreckage of a damaged set of expectations.

For eight years, Carolyn Moos thought she had the right guy, but it took four years for her to discover not only that she didn't, but that he may very well have cheated on her in the process of finding out about himself.

Let's hope that's not the case, but given that it's an open and unanswered question, it's starting to look that way.

In the interview, Ms. Moos says that she's going to meet up with Jason this weekend.  Given her coiled emotions that could wind up very good, or not so.
